The Flamingo's website advertises itself as a "luxury" resort. I would describe it more as Motel 8 with a couple of bars. The room was clean, but there wasnt an alarm clock and the towels looked and felt like they were the old ones from my gym. The bed creaked and the carpet had damage to it. However the frosting on this cake was the envelope on a table marked TIPS for the housekeeper. The staff ranged from extremely nice to one guy who wasnt pretty enough to be serving that much attitude with my cocktail. The housekeeper solicited me for a tip twice on my day of arrival, due to the fact she was off the next day. I ate in the restaurant (which is also the bar, so it is loud), it wasnt bad, it wasnt good. It was ok. I probably wont stay there again, but would recommend it to others as a basic motel that is gay.

01/18/2010We used to travel to st pete often and stopped when the suncoast resort closed. this new place is awesome. loved it and we will be back alot!!
