My wife and I stayed at the Waldorf in October of 2009 1 week after the the doors where opened to the public. This place is first class. The service was 5 star as it should be. The rooms are very high end. When we walked in the room , there was a plate of delicious chocolates waiting for us. Also, the room had two luxurious bathrobes and two sets of slippers the we used almost the entire time when we where in the room. The bed was the most comfortable bed I had ever experienced at a hotel. The restaurants are pricey but well worth it. Room service was fast and again the food amazing. We drove to Epcot for the Food and Wine Expo and it only took us 5 minutes to get there. If you want to stay at a high class and unique hotel, this is the place to be. Ironically, the prices beat many of the 3 and 4 star hotels in Orlando that are not even close in quality. I highly recommend staying at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando

I did not have the Waldorf Experience that you would expect from the leading luxury hotel. The little things were overlooked during my stay. There was not any details on amenities such as transportation, dining or local activities in my room. I had to asked several people for information and received different answers each time. The concierge was not professional and mishandled my travel to airport...scheduled for the wrong day...had to reschedule. Housekeeping was not up to par: The Bathroom counter was dusty on my arrival. Ironing board and iron left out after housekeeping service. In-room dining left breakfast tray with old food in room all day...i returned from a day out to find and smell the left over food. I had to call several times to have it removed. No yoga or aerobics classes were available as advertised. The valet improved after the first day. I had to wait 20 minutes for car and other workers began to ask if we needed help. The manager was responsive and offered complimentary services to make up for the poor service. The food at the poolside cafe and Oscar's restaurant in the hotel has good food. As for eating dinner and getting a martini , I recommend the Hilton which is connected via an indoor conference bridge. The restaurant was excellent and the service was great.
