My husband and I stayed for 8 days over Thanksgiving. The hotel and the staff were wonderful. We are an attorney and architect in our 60s. We are demanding but could not be the any more pleased. The Brabo restaurant is wonderful. Not too pricey considering the quality. A 5 star experience all the way around.

Hotel was in a beautiful area, was very nice, very clean, and the hotel staff was very nice also. They recommended restaurants in the area and a shop for us to buy some tennis shoes (I'd left mine home). We felt very safe. Beautiful bathroom and loved the bathroom door (frosty glass). We would definately stay here again.

My husband and I stayed there on a pleasure trip. The walls in the rooms are extremely thin (we later found out that this hotel used to be a Holiday Inn). The staff were extremely nice. The restaurant is very overrated. We went there for breakfast and was disappointed. The prices for the amount of food was ridiculous. If you stay here, go across the streeet to the deli. Great food at reasonable prices :) My husband and I are in DC approximately four times per year and are used to the prices, but even so, the restaurant bill was outrageous. There was also free internet, with a printer, which was an added bonus for printing boarding passes.

original room was barely big enough to 'change you mind in.' requested and was given a different room. waited almost 2 hours for bathrobes. room service coffee is $* or you can get dressed and go downstairs for complimentary coffee in the lobby. overall, not what I was expecting.

We stayed their for a long weekend in early March. I didn't find it as awesome as the first reviews came out, although certainly comfortable...I wasn't ""wowed"". We made our reservations on line. Simple enough. We asked if there was any available upgrades when we got there, and were told no, although it would have appeared they were not fully occupied. Ok. So we had a ""standard"" room. The closet was very small for two people who had winter jackets plus a few clothes. Certainly not a big thing...the plus is the built in shelves in the closet with a safe. Room and bed were comfortable. We had a very small view of the courtyard. We ordered room service for breakfast, and it came quickly -- but truly uneventful, and there was no place to eat it, except for one of us to use the desk and the other to hold it on their lap. We went to a local drug store for soda/water (I think it was $3.00 each at the hotel, plus $2.00 -delivery fee -- available through room service only.). I know where we were, but really? We wanted to conserve, and put our towels back on the rack and made up our own bed, but they gave us clean towels and fresh linens anyway. I know, who can complain about that, but conserving does make sense...and we followed their information hanging in the bath! Staff was polite, but couldn't give any suggestions to other restaurants except for those on site, or help us get a rental car for the day on Saturday, but we figured it out ourselves. We end up there every year for business, and make it a long weekend...probably will try something else next time.
