  We found the staff helpful who recommended great restaurants. It is in the North area of Boston close to Hanover Street which has numerous Italian restaurants. You can pick up the Historical walking tour by following the red brick on this street. It is also a 10 minute walk to the TD Center if you want to see the Bruins or Celtics The rooms were large with comfortable beds. The only negative was we found the room too warm at night. I would stay at this hotel again

  I was in Boston over the 4th of July holiday weekend and stayed at the Fairmont Battery Wharf Hotel. I was undecided whether to stay here or at the Longwharf Marriott, where I had stayed in the past, but because the rate was better at the Fairmont, I took a chance and stayed there. A great choice! This is a brand new, beautiful hotel, right on Boston harbor. It's within walking distance of all the great italian restaurants in the North End, and also within walking distance to most other attractions in the downtown area, if you don't mind a little extra walking. We attended a Red Sox game at Fenway and took the T from the hotel (a short walk away) and back. The room we stayed in at this hotel was modern, quiet, and quite large by hotel standards. The hotel consists of two bulidings....each 6 floors, but the top four floors in each building are condos. Very high end condos!!! So if you stay in the hotel, your room will be on the first or second floor. Not a problem though, as I said, the area here is very quiet. The staff was very friendly. There is a very nice gym here and they don't charge you extra to use it like at some hotels. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Boston.
