I may have had my expectations too high, but I was not all that impressed with the Encore. The staff I encountered fell into both extremes, some amazing and some surprisingly rude and slow. The check in process was disorganized and there was no proper line to ensure guests were checked-in in an appropriate manner. I arrived at noon on a Wednesday and our room became available just after 3 pm, they call your cell phone to let you know it is ready. The casino is decorated with a very bold red, everywhere, even the chandaliers. I found the Wynn casino to have a much classier feel than the Encore. The room was beautiful, very comfortable and well cared for. The bed was comfy but they only had feather pillows. When I called housekeeping for a different pillow and to report a burnt out light, they assured me they would get right to it, but after my 5th day, they still never showed up. The location is at the far north end of the strip and I found I was always walking through the Wynn to head outside and then to head south for all our shows and dining. The pools looked very nice, but this time of year were not operational. You must pay extra to use the fitness center, it looked ok and very crowded. I tried the buffet for breakfast, it was $20 pp and you were able to get in quickly, the food was acceptable for a buffet but I didn't find it amazing, typical breakfast buffet food.

Our hotel was clean, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was top-notch. We were treated very respectfully and all the staff from the check-in counter, to doormen, to housekeeping were the most polite I've ever seen. I felt like a movie star! We got an upgrade to the 56th floor with a view of the strip for a nominal fee and it was definitely worth it. We absolutely loved the view, especially with an entire wall of windows! The bathroom in the hotel room was spa-like and it was nice to enjoy a bubble bath almost every night. The bed was extremely comfortable and the dark shades and quiet hallways made for very pleasant sleeping. The casino atmosphere was nice as well, not smoky or loud even with the slot machines. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if we got the same deal or something similar!

The rooms are Semi Suites with all aminities, large wall with windows with power drapes, very good linens. However the food chices are somewhat limited. You can walk over to the Wynn for more options. given the choice , overall I prefer the Wynn over the Encore. Both are 5 star properties

This hotel uses timeshare hard sell practices to force you to upgrade. Myself and everyone else near me at registration was given the same line. There are no room available in the catorgory you reserved but you can upgrade to a suite. I was told that my only option was upgrade or leave a phone number and they would call if something became available. Nice rooms very bad sales tactics.

The Encore was nothing but a wonderful experience. It is beautiful, the staff delightful to deal with, they bend over backwards to make sure everything is perfect. The rooms are luxurious, the food expensive but good, and room service quick. This is definitely a place I would recommend and give my repeat business to. Just be careful of the mini bar. If you take something out to examine it and have it out for 60 sec. you buy it and those items are way overpriced. That was the only complaint I had. Otherwise, a real class act.
