nowhere near union station room was fine breakfast adequate for us.staff helpful especially miguel the shuttle driver(when it ran limited service)owners description defies belief if he thinks it is only 1.5 miles to city centre unless DC miles are longer than statute miles.

This hotel is not near Union Station. Well, it's closer to Union Station than New York's Penn Station but not by much. It is in a very bad part of town. The rooms are adequate but the common areas are tired and need refurbishment. Road noise from buses and traffic along NY Ave is significant. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. Stay home if this all you can afford.

This was a nightmare from the start. This part of D.C. is ugly. Hotel looked nice but everything around it is rough, prostitutes across the street, now I understand why they have a high ornamental fence around the property with gates. Next the room, The phone only worked on speaker, the safe didn't work, coffee maker didn't work, the iron was useless, room was small, and worst of all had to be one dead roach on the way to the continental breakfast, and the ice breaker was the live roach crawling on the wall in the eating area just behind the toaster area. We were staying for 3 nights, cancelled the other 2 nights and went back towards the capitol and stayed at the embassy suites, That was the best move we could of made. This was a bad experience.

This hotel is being rennovated. The staff is not organized and rude. On Friday night the staff knocked on our door to check to see if the room was occupied. The rooms didn't have Do Not Distrub tags so the housekeeping staff knocked on the door at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning to clean the room and we were still sleeping! Information regarding the hotel shows there was a pool; however, we were told they didn't have a pool. We planned to stay another night; however, due to the problems we had we checked out a day early. Not a good experience at all!
