From the moment we drove up to the hotel, every part of the staff was welcoming, from the valet parkers, bellman, desk and food and beverage people. The room was very large with striking, upscale decor. 10 foot ceilings added to the experience. We we given an excellent dinner suggestion at the nearby River Walk. 5 stars. We loved it.

This hotel was a really cool place to stay. It was different from any other place I stayed at before. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean. The shower was cool too! The hotel had a lounge, a bar, restaurant, library and more. I was there for a wedding and it was a great place for our family to gather. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed our stay right after hotel opened (Oct 08). They were still working out some of the details but the management and staff seemed to geniunely want to get it right when it wasn't. The bar area is lively and fun until late so sometimes there is some noise that filters up through the atrium to the room areas. I would not recommend if you are looking for a quiet place - this is more hip and swank then your typical hotel. Staff offered great dinning recommendations. Only room service was available when we stayed and was okay. Rooms are really wonderful and better then any of the other "upscale" hotels we have stayed at in the Milwaukee area. Little bit of a hike to 3rd ward and other places but short taxi or drive.

Trippy loft-style new boutique hotel with great bathrooms, pleasant decor, and a helpful staff. The valet parking charges are a total gouge ($25/night for your car to sit outside in the snow and the parking dudes are a little slow on the uptake--sometimes you can't find them at all) and you are not allowed to self-park on the property. The food takes too long--ok sometimes interminably long-- to arrive in the bar/restaurant (but it is very good once it finally gets there). Drinks are stiff, but about the same price as the Oak Bar in NYC. (The in-room mini-bar prices are also completely out-of-line for this market.) Bartenders are excellent. For the room price, the hot breakfast should be included (it is an extra $10 and just so-so.) Easy walk to great bars/restaurants in the Third Ward. Milwaukee desperately needed a place like this. Needs a little fine-tuning, not cheap, but generally worth it. A refreshing change from most of the dour other offerings downtown and my new first choice for future visits.
