Guests can also participate in workout classes for a fee (additional 15 per guest). Classes include yoga, strength training and cardio. Private training sessions are also available.

We have stayed at the Hotel Ivy a half-dozen or more times, and each stay we get to love the experience more. It is in a perfect location, just 2 blocks from Nicollet Mall. Porter and Frye is a superb restaurant, serving fantastic fare at reasonable prices. The wait staff maintaing a perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism, and no matter what variation on the existing menu we request, the kitchen is ALWAYS happy, willing and able to deliver. The rooms are all in immaculate conditon with beautiful, roomy bathrooms including huge bath and glass-walled shower in every room. (We enjoy the layout of the 2 Queen rooms better than the King rooms.) Hotel Ivy strikes the perfect balance between opulence, value, and friendly, personal service. If you're staying in downtown Minneapolis, Hotel Ivy is your best bet!

Over rated hotel
03/14/20101: the room was small! barely had room to walk on sides and foot of the bed. 2: nice hdtv ... but hung on the wall 28" from the bed & ...
1: The room was SMALL! Barely had room to walk on sides and foot of the bed. 2: Nice HDTV ... but hung on the wall 28" from the bed & viewable only when sitting on the bed. Recommended viewing distances for a 42" screen is about the length of the bed, so you have to sit on the head of the bed to watch the screen. On that topic ... the choice of channels is very limited. My basic cable at home has wider selection. 3: $* charge for wireless internet? Give me a break; at these prices for a room, internet service should be included. 4: Staying for more than a night and want to unpack? Forget it ... no drawers anywhere; and if you set up the folding luggage stand, there's no space to walk. 5: Poor/inconsistent room service. I had multiple intermittent meetings. I'd leave the room, come back in a few hours ... no maid service. Leave again, come back ... same story. Finally got the room serviced late in the third day, but they left no toiletries. I had to make a request at the front desk for shampoo and soap. 6: On the last day of my stay, I had a morning meeting. The maid service had been poor so I figured I'd be OK coming back after the meeting to finish some work, pack and check out. WRONG! I got back at 9:30 a.m to find the bed stripped, and the bathroom being cleaned. Seems the attendant didn't even know I was checking out! I called the desk to prepare my bill, tried as best I could to find my belongings buried under the linens, packed and left. I won't go back!

This is a luxury hotel providing great service and amenities at a reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again. My only regret is that they didn't provide courtesy Internet access. There is a per day fee for Internet access.
