My experience at this facility was most unpleasant. The location was nothing like I expected and the online description, including the photos, was somewhat misleading. This "Inn" was located in an industrial section of Oakland, adjacent to a freeway off-ramp so traffic noise was really loud at times. The first thing I noticed at the check in window was a notice advising guests that the trafficking of children for sex is prohibited in this facility. That was my first "red flag" that I had made a big mistake booking this lodging. Now, to be fair the room came with a small frig, a microwave, basic cable and the water pressure in the shower was strong. That is the extent of the positives. The negatives are plenty. The bathroom had no hooks. None. I had to place my towel and everything else on the sink. The room smelled of cigarette even though I had asked for a non-smoking room. The carpet seemed really old and stained. I dared not walked around in my barefeet. The walls were somewhat dirty & yellowed. I noticed cobwebs in a couple of corners. The TV set looked like it was at least ten (10) years old. The pillows had no mass. They were completely flat. The bed did not come with a blanket. To be on the safe side, I pulled the covers back and checked for bed bugs and unwanted stains on the sheets. Thank God I didn't find any. I believe I've said enough. The bottom line is, I will never stay here again!

I stayed at Bay Breeze Inn in March of this year and seems like they have remodeled the property. Its nice and welcoming. The rooms were neat and neat landscape. Feels like home. I would stay agian on my next trip to Bay Area

Location is cheesy. Kind a scary to walk alone in the night although the motel itself is gated and had surveillance cameras. Room was clean but no hangers for clothes, no rods or hooks in the bathroom. They gave us only 2 small towels like they were more like mat towels for the feet. The mat outside the shower was a thin paper that was useless when it got wet. We requested for more towels which they didn't give. The TV only had 5 or 6 channels and the remote control was missing. My husband had to go get it downstairs from the office. When they gave it, the remote control looked broken with scotch tape fastened to it. It didn't even work when we tried using it. There was no telephone, no clock or bible which is standard for all motels/hotels. When my husband and I decided to check out early because of this bad experience, the owner was too nosy and ask us why we're leaving early and tried coaxing us to stay on. Their price was $* more than Super 8 in Lombard where we transferred. We also had to pay $* for early check out. Super 8 in Lombard was really an upgrade from this cheesy motel.

I am not sure who wrote the other reviews, but it is hard to believe they actually stayed in this hotel. The hotel is located among warehouses and along the 880. The surveillance cameras and the gate to enter the premises of the hotel raised red flags immediately. There are weekly/monthly tenants who did not bolster my faith in the hotel's security either. It advertises free wireless, but you may get 2 or 3 page hits before you are disconnected. There was no chain on the door and the dead-bolt did not work. When we turned the tv on, the entire button display sank into the inside of the TV. When we complained, the TV was replaced. I will give them credit for that. The shower was incomprehensible. When you turned the handle to the right, you got cold water -- only cold water! When you turned it to the left you got hot water - only hot water! There was no in between. How do you take a shower this way? If you want a restful stay and want to feel safe and secure, please do not go here.
