The location of the hotel was good--the city was easily accessible and it was in a posh/pleasant area. The hotel staff were very kind and accommodating and we easily caught a shuttle several times during our stay. The room itself was so-so. It was clean and decently sized but nothing to get excited over--I would have been mad if we had paid their going rate. No view. OK, safe and clean. For excitement, I'd try somewhere else.

Very nice hotel in a nice area of Alexandria. The walk to the Metro stop takes about 5 minutes and it rained on us several evenings when we made the walk. The kids were very disappointed in the pool/hot tub. The hours are limited, the pool is somewhat small, and no kids under 16 were allowed in the hot tub no matter what the time. Anyone who vacations with kids knows the importance of the pool and hot tub for the kids. That factor alone would keep me from going back.
