The hotel is on the water at National Harbor with a very nice view of the water and a distant view of the Washington, D.C. The room was quite nice, a typical Westin room with a great bed and bedding. The room was clean and serviced well. There are a few nice restaurants (had a fabulous hamburger and fries at Elevation Burger) and some nice shops. The hotel is about a $**cab ride to the National Mall in D.C. or a $** combination Metro Bus & Metro Rail ride. The water taxi station is steps away and a $** round trip to Alexandria makes for a fun day. The front desk was not particularly helpful with respect to transportation directions and getting around to different places. People referred us to a map of the city for directions on Metro routes, but the map did not include National Harbor. If one plans to spend a lot of time in Washington D.C., I recommend staying closer to the city. Oh, be careful with the refreshment tray. A charge results from picking up an item from the tray.

The hotel is very nice! The front desk attendants are not too nice, No fridge, no microwave, coffee but only two creamers for two people. We ask for more and they gave us more, expensive restaurants, too far from DC. The fire alarm was allway flashing this bright light like the airport lights at night. unable to sleep unless you cover it with a dark piece of paper or foil. we call the front desk and they told us there was nothing they could do about it. We cover it with the foil from our sandwich. We check in and they gave us a room with no view and they charge us $* to upgrade to water view. No bath robes like is stated on the hotle description.

I reserved 3 nights at this hotel to attend a funeral. The valet was incompetent and left my car running all night until my battery was dead the next day which caused me to miss the funeral I was supposed to attend. The hotel authorized/charged my card twice for my one visit. The customer service representative insulted me and the manager wouldnt speak directly to me. The room has no refrigerator/microwave. You have to pay for parking or valet and wi-fi. All I got was a room with a bed and a view and thats it for the price.

The hotel was new, clean, sophisticated, and understatedly decorated. The lobby, restaurant and gym had beutiful water views. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was very roomy. We asked for a room with a view upon check-in but were denied one as they said we had not booked our reservation directly with the hotel. Use of a computer with internet access was about $* dollars for 15 minutes. There was a garage 1-2 blocks away that charged $* for parking overnight. Valet parking was $* a day. The only problem I had with this hotel was the location. It was at least 30 minutes away from DC attractions, given terrible DC traffic. Also, it is located in a very isolated area with expensive shops and restaurants. There was no place to buy everyday necessities, such as toiletries or food, yet I believe a CVS will be opening soon. I would definitely recommend it if you don't mind the drive to the city. You can also take public transportation to the city by taking a local bus and then transferring to the metro.

It was very nice! I was really impressed with how upscale and modern the room was. It was a standard room, but really, for the price we paid, it looked awesome, and overall was a great deal and a great experience. About the only downer that we had was that the National Harbor site was not on the Metro. The location is very safe. I would definitely recommend this to anyone going to DC!! I would stay again if I went back.
