The Motor City Casino Hotel is one of my favorite places to stay in Detroit. It has all of the amenities and services you want in a hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and check-in and check-out was fast. Security was great. I stayed on the club level and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour. The rooms are spacious and very modern. The bed is extremely comfortable. Vale parking is free and the service is very fast. The garage parking is also very convenient and is covered and free as well. I was in town on business but I would definitely like to come back and stay for fun. I had the chance to go to the casino with co-workers after our meetings and there were plenty of bar options to enjoy a cocktail. The business center is nice and there were plenty of computers and printers. I highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at Motor City Casino. The security was great. We were upgraded at no extra charge to the club level and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour. We ate so much at happy hour that we didn't need dinner. However, we were surprised that there were only soft drinks. No wine or beer. The one problem we had was with a call at 3:30 am from room service, saying we had placed an order and no one would answer the door. We hadn't placed the order and had been sound asleep. Then someone from guest services called 5 minutes later to insist that she "wasn't crazy" and someone from our room had placed the order. Finally, she admitted that sometimes there were problems with the phones and she would have the charge removed from our bill. (Which she did.) Also, our final bill, which was prepaid through Travelocity, showed that we still owed for the rooms and - at a lower price than we had paid! The front desk said it was their mistake and that was the price Travel Agency had paid them. It took a few requests to get a receipt that showed we didn't owe the hotel anything. The hotel was so nice and a good value, I would give them another try. But if these kinds of problems occured again, I wouldn't return.

I stayed here for two nights and I really liked this hotel. Parking was very easy. The hotel offers valet but I prefered the parking garage which is connected to the hotel. It's free and makes coming/going so easy, especially if you're in a hurry.The hotel has Vegas atmosphere with Midwestern hospitality. All of the staff was very friendly and the chekin/checkout was quick.The room (standard with king bed) was very modern, spacious and I had a great view. I loved the plasma tv and the bed was super comfortable. I had the best sleep in a long time. The hotel/casino/parking garage are staffed with security and I felt safe (I was traveling alone) The computer room/business center is great! It's free to use the computers and printers and they're available 24/7. The fitness center is terrific. It has everything you need. I didn't use the spa but I would definitelyh come back for a weekend getaway. It's a great place to get away.

We arrived on Friday night and the bellman and checkin was great. The hotel was all the previous reviews had said. The room was clean, had a modern decor and was a great size. Everything is high tech. You push a button for the do not disturb sign, clean the room sign and when ordering at the restraurants, it is touch screen. We took a cab to the Tigers game and it was cheaper than parking an walking a few blocks. The cabbie dropped us off and we grabbed a cab back, a few steps out the front gate. We won a little at casino, but I was disappointed at how few video poker machines there were. We were to go the motown museum, but were advised that the neighborhood was very rough and we should only go by cab. We opted not to go. We stayed 3 nights and would do it again.
