I agree with "Anonymous" from LA. It's a nice place but not sympathetic to the business traveler. I had the misfortune to have a room overlooking the pool bar. Pretty view, but they play loud music until 2 a.m. during the week. Multiple polite requests to have the music turned down - or at least have the bass turned down - were ignored. If you actually need to get some sleep while in Scottsdale, skip the W.

I stayed here for a medical conference. It's a beautiful hotel and the check-in was fantastic. But then it goes downhill from there. The place is staffed with fraternity guys everywhere. Absolutely crap service. Came back from conference around 4:30pm and tried to get the room cleaned. I asked 3 people (including the cleaning lady who was cleaning next door, a hotel worker wandering the halls, and called downstairs). No way that was happening any time soon. About 1.5hrs later a cleaning lady shows up. I would never stay there again.

Had a fabulous stay!! The staff made it perfect - ! Look for them to get you rides around town, help with anything within the hotel and more! Theymade sure we got everything we needed including the info on the hot pool party that night at the hotel!! Can't wait to go back for more fun at the W!!!

I rarely write reviews but for hotels, but this is definately worth the time. IMy boyfriend and I just got back from a wonderful time in Scottsdale and at the W hotel. I must say that I was skeptical about staying here because there were such mixed reviews but I am here to clear the air. This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I are hotel snobs meaning we are very picky on where we stay and what we say is great. The hotel and rooms are gorgeous, the pool is incredible, better than the mondrian, which we went to the pool party on Saturday and were NOT impressed, big disappointment to the Mondrian hotel name but most of all, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable. From the moment we checked in until the day we left, we cannot say one negative thing about the place. I will definately be staying here. I recommend hanging out on the pool deck and night on the weekends, the scene is amazing, beautiful people, cool vibe and DJ plays killer music! Thank you W for making my first trip to Arizona a great one!
