We are honestly not big fans of casinos but this was a nice surprise! The Tuscany Tower area of the hotel is definitely the nicest. It has open lounging areas & upscale restaurants & a great coffee-dessert shop that is open 24 hours in a non smoking area. They had a talented live band in a great lounge that played all kinds of music for dancing & listening which reminded us of how nice casinos used to be. Our room was beautiful. Large & elegantly furnished with plenty of room to visit in a nice sitting area. The bathroom was really stunning-all marble, jacuzzi tub, separate shower & a huge dual vanity with two sinks. We did not use the pools but our room looked down on them & they are big & popular. The spa also looked lovely & the prices reasonable. The only thing that was a bit of a turn off was their upscale night club. We went to check it out & there were three huge door men at the entry that were (or tried to be) intimadting. We asked about their hours & were told it would not open for another 15 minutes & that is was $*. pp to go up. It seemed rather high just to take a peek & as we were guests of the hotel, it seemed like we should have had a special price & there was no one waiting to go in. We could see the clubs outdoor deck from our room & never saw more than two guests there so I think they would do better to lower the cost or change the attitude of their door men. The location is not close to other casinos so it is a destination.

Stayed at the Tuscany Towers over spring break weekend to ski at nearby resort. Hotel was very nice, room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Bathroom was huge and even included a tv so you could soak in tub and watch TV. Bed was very comfortable and the view of the pool from our room was beautiful. Beware of the weighted scale that held the mini bar items and the in room fridge is stocked with hotel's items. Those of you with children might want to ask hotel to remove items if you think the little ones might be tempted to touch. Sign on area specifically states that any weight change will result in a charge to your room. I wish hotels would understand that if they priced their mini bar items reasonably, people would buy them but $* for tiny tin of nuts, not happening. Even though, it was probably 30 to 40 degrees outside, pool was lots of fun and very warm. Lots of towels provided, just had to do a lot of running in very cold weather to get to them. Getting to parking lot was like a maze, if you stay in the Tuscany Towers, you are nowhere near the parking structure. Keep that in mind when you check in, have bellhop bring stuff to your room. We didn't eat in any of the hotel restaurants because they were a little pricey but there are lots of affordable restaurants within very close driving distance. Other than that, it was a great stay and we would stay there again.

A spur of the moment trip to Reno turned into a great mini-vacation at the Tuscany Towers at the Peppermill. Took a chance on the top secret room, and hit the jackpot! Great spa suite at a great price. Our room was like new, and I have never slept on a more comfortable Hotel Bed! My wife loved the new Tuscany spa, and spent a whole day getting pampered. The food was great, with a choice of 7 or 8 different restaurants each with a different cuisine. Loved the Sunday Brunch Buffet. The staff was great, everyone was very helpful. This was the first time I have used Travelocity, but it will certainly not be the last!
