The rooms need to be refurbished. The tub has stains on it from 20 years ago and there were spots on the walls and stains all over the carpet. The room did not get cleaned for THREE DAYS!!!!!!! There were cleaning carts at the suites building but it was three days before I saw one in our building. And I think the only reason we finally get cleaned was because they were tired of me coming down to the office. I was at the office every day complaining about something. They called me in the middle of the night on two occassions -- wrong room -- complaining about the noise when they woke me up!!!! Apparently they were having an issue with the help, but not my problem. I have been going to Ocean City for years, but this has to be the worst. Give them 1/2 star rating. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

This was the worst place that I have ever stayed in my life. It was in need of great repair. There was no maid service I had to get my own towels and ask for a vacume. We had a thunder storm a nd rain poured in the front door and the sliding door. The bathroom was falling apart. The carpet was dirty. Sitting on the balcaony was great if you like hearing aircondtioners running and the heat that they gave off. And the fact that other people could climb onto your balcony which they did at 3:00 in the morning. I would never stay there again if they let stay all summer for free!

Just a few things that come to mind. 1) It adverises free newspaper, am/fm alarm clock radio, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. None of these items were in the room. We asked for a hairdryer and were told they did not have any. 2) Carpet was torn and had stains. 3) The chairs had stains. 4) The sofa was torn. 5) The sheets and towels had stains. 6) Matresses and pillows very uncomfortable. 7) Rust on the ceiling of the bathroom . 8) No maid service the whole time we were there. Complained to the front desk clerk (06/21/08 @ around 6PM) and she made a joke about it. 9) Phone not working. Complained to the front desk clerk and nothing was done. 10) Remopte to TV not working. Complained to the front desk clerk and nothing was done. 11) Handles missing from drawer in dresser. 12) Cover to fan in bath broken. 13) Shower curtain in shower too long. 14) Comforter on bed way too long. 15 Walls were dirty. In short, this place was really a dump. I have traveled all over the world and have never seen a place as nasty as this one. I definately do NOT recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at the Serene Hotel with one of my friends. We decided to stay away from the boardwalk and this place sounded like a great deal. Turns out it was. Although we only stayed for 2 nights, it made our trip to Ocean City worth it. The staff was friendly and willing to work with guests. The location was perfect for us. I would definitely stay there again, possibly next year if we go back to OCMD.
