Chelsea Pines Inn was a great place to stay. I was in town related to a relative's death and they were most gracious and accomodating to my requests. Room quite roomy for NYC, clean, and comfortable. Only drawback is no elevator but other than that a wonderful, homelike place with great customer service. Good location also.

I was shocked to find a place to stay in Manhattan for such a reasonable price and I was not disappointed. I was greeted on arrival cheerfully and showed the facilities. The room was immaculate. I only regret that I had to run too soon in the morning to take advantage of breakfast. The only minor snag was the shower head that seemed to insist on one of two settings, too hot or too cold. However I was on a short turnaround trip and so I did not have time to point this out and so I do not really hold it against them.I would definitely stay here again.

What nice people! The staff here are terrific, friendly and very helpful. I felt very much at home. And the Inn is in a great location, close to the subway, and a quick walk to Union Square. Easy to get to by car, too - right off the West Side Highway. A very charming and cozy place with a nice West Village hip feel. And a cute kitty named Charlie who greets the guests!
