My husband and I stayed at The Tradewinds for 4 nights. We are pretty demanding when it comes to travel as our leisure time is so limited, but this place exceeded almost all our expectations. The location was perfect - within walking distance of all shops and restaurants in Carmel - but far enough off the main street to be quiet. The hotel itself is small but very nicely done, with Asian-inspired decor inside and out. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and breakfast each day was high quality. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

We were delighted with our stay at this lovely hotel. From the time we checked in the service was over the top, including high quality complimentary snacks and delicious chocolate dipped strawberries to welcome us. No honor bar with overpriced items - how refreshing! The room decor was also serene and relaxing; the bed was extremely comfortable, the staff was very attentive. We would definitely stay here again."
