This is our fourth and last visit here. We used to enjoy the waterpark with our kids (ages 8 and 6) but our most recent visit was not enjoyable because of safety concerns. When I walked into the pool area my eyes began burning immediately because the chlorine stench was so strong. We arrived around 4:30pm and it was overcrowded to say the least. The hot tub was full of children, most without their parents and some under the age of 6 which is illegal in WI. The pool and waterpark area were packed with kids having a good time but the hotel staff were definitely not enforcing the fire capacity limit which bothers me. My husband overheard a woman at the front desk asking for 10 waterpark wristbands for her one hotel room and at breakfast we were behind another woman who took an entire tray of cinnamon rolls back up to her room. Again...I have to ask if the hotel is operating with its guests' best interests in mind by allowing guest rooms and the pool area to be occupied well beyond safe capacities. We will be finding another Milwaukee hotel at which to spend our next weekend away

I stayed here w/ my 7 year old in November of 2007. She loved the water park, water slide area. (Hey, I even went on the water slide!) Water was warm. We had a view of the water park from our hotel room. Room was decent, attractive and clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel staff were nice. Good service. Nothing deluxe, but not at all bad. I would most definitely stay here again. Very easy to get to from the airport. And 2 short blocks from the freeway on-ramp. The only maybe negative I saw was that the hotel does allow locals (non-hotel customers) to use the water park area for a fee (they give you a wristband) Hotel people have one color wristband and locals have a different color if I remember correctly. So it could get really busy in the water park area which is small to begin with, if it happens to be a day where lots of locals are there. Now, this could be good, though if you have family or friends in the area and you want to swim, and you want to invite the family that you're visiting to come swim with you (because for instance, daughter wants to swim and not sit and be bored at grandparents house ) *wink.

I was traveling on business and chose this hotel because of it's location. It was clean, had a small, but nice, workout room and good breakfast options. What made my stay more special was the compassion shown to me by an evening clerk. I had to check out suddenly (at 11:30 pm) because of a family emergency. I did not realize it until the next day, but the young woman on duty that night credited my account for that day. I had not asked, nor did I expect her to do this. People make the difference.

This hotel was so much fun when we went. Our kids loved the water park and we loved the night away in the middle of the winter. This hotel also had wonderful beds! We all had a great night sleep (which is rare for being in a hotel).
