- ***Guests must purchase a Water Resort Day Pass for admittance into the water park.
- ***The Holiday Inn Kansas City SE-Waterpark by the sports complex has a 10 week detour due to construction of the interstate bridge access from I-70 has changed. Improvements to the George Brett Bridge on Blue Ridge Cutoff have caused a slight detour from Interstate 70. Guests will need to utilize Hwy 40 as a main point of access.

Check in was long. We were given a handicap room(no bathtub). the hotel is dirty (hallways and elevators). Elevators did not work properly. Employees were lazy with an I don't care attitude. Our floors ice machine was broke and when we called down to ask where the closest one was, no one would answer the phone. When we went downstatirs to the front desk and told them no one was answering, they were like "oh, sorry". The pool had no towels and another guest called many times before any arrived. The hot tube was gross. The water park was neat but the employees had that same attitude. If you purchased a stay through the hotel, waterpark passes came with it. However if you don't, you pay on your own. It may be a bit cheaper to book through travel website at first, but not if you plan on going to the park. It was a bit of a rip off and not well explained.

This place was in a good location with easy access to Arrowhead and Kaufman Stadiums- within walking distance. The rooms were clean, staff courteous and the food in the restaurants compared with every other hotel like it. The only issue we had is that we could hear the room next door like they were in our room. We could hear them at normal conversation tone. Except for the noise issue (part of which was not the hotel's fault), it was a good place to stay.

We came to KC for the Royals and just as a weekend getaway. We got a great rate at this hotel and the place is fantastic. Our room had a great view of the stadiums and the city skyline. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and we loved the flat screen tv. It was very hot in KC during our stay but our room was very comfortable and stayed cool the whole weekend. This hotel has a water resort where we spent a whole day. The kids loved all of the slides, the basketball, and all of the water features while my wife and I relaxed in the indoor and outdoor hot tub and soaked in the sun on the sundeck. We had pizza hut and A&W which were both in the water resort and didn't have to leave the place all day! We forgot our toothpast and shaving cream and the hotel staff was very friendly and delivered some to us- FREE!! We very much enjoyed the staff who were very friendly and helpful. We wanted some KC BBQ and the woman at the check-in counter even printed us directions to get to Jack's Stack!. Oh, and I forgot to mention they have a mascot bird that makes appearances in the restaurant to entertain the kids and pose for photos. The only negative thing was that they were very busy and we had to park at the end of the lot (which was huge) and walk quite a way to get into the hotel. We had a great stay here and will be coming back in the winter to enjoy more of the water resort!
