I stayed at this Hotel after Ike so things were pretty crazy since only 1 elevator was working and I was on the 19th floor, I got a pretty good rate esp at that time because of storm hotels were jacked up on their prices, the rooms are NOT worth ***a night, the milk and cookies at night and a breakfast buffet is nice for an upscale hotel and rare. Parking is expensive but if you are there on the weekend meter parking is free. I have stayed at the Dallas Magnolia and I think it is a much nicer hotel and actually I got a much better price there. The rooms were clean and comfortable but I have stayed at Hamptons that were just as nice and clean.

Convenient location down the street from the basebal stadium. Rooms are not particularly large but are definitely comfortable and freshly decorated. Great oversized bathtubs. Comfortable atmosphere on mezzanine level where the free breakfast and cookies and milk are served each night. Live jazz band on weekends was a nice touch. Wish we'd had time to lounge in the library room and curl up with a good book. Be aware that all the downtown hotels have valet parking, but the attendants were gracious about in and outs.
