I stayed here because it was close to a conferene I was going to and a lot cheaper. I had a pretty good view and it was clean. The staff seemed nice. Cab drivers had trouble finding it. It seemed very old and not in just a cool hisotric way. Also, the internet doesn't really work in the rooms, but does in the lobby and sitting areas. It was okay for trying to be cheaper but not sketchy. The internet was free and there was a free business center with computers, printers, and a copy machine. The free continental breakfast went later than most and wasn't bad

After having read some of the other reviews, I was a little anxious about what we would find when we got to this hotel. This was our first ever trip to Boston and I wanted it to be nice. We found the hotel easily enough as it's a short walk from the Orange Line subway stop. The girl who checked us in for our 3 night stay was very nice and helpful. We didn't eat the continental breakfast that was offered, mostly because my husband wanted a bigger breakfast. The room was the right size since it was just me & my husband. I do have to say the bathroom is on the small side, but it was always clean and stocked. Other reviews I'd read had stated that it was noisy, but we didn't have that problem. It was quiet for our entire stay. The staff was always courteous and helpful. The only downside I saw was that they do not have a pool, but it was not a major problem for us on this trip as our daughter was not with us. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a lot of character. The staff was really nice and helpful. The location was awesome!!!!! The room had character and was clean. The free contintental breakfast was well stocked and a good way to start the day. The hotel is centrally located and added to my stay in Boston!!!!
