At 3.5 stars you'd expect an overall better than good stay, not at this hotel. First they make you pay to park at their hotel, not covered or valet, just parking. Next they had my stay dates incorrect and tried charging me as a no-show. Fortunately, I had my reservation confirmation with me showing they were incorrect. Carpets in common areas and room are dirty, discolored, worn, and stained. The room needed updating and smelled slightly of cigarettes(was non-smoking room). Updated bathroom was very nice. Cable TV was poor with very limited channels and distortion to the picture. Wi-fi available at $* per day which should be included especially when charging for other things like parking. A plus to the room is the fact that there is a ceiling fan which helped with white noise which was needed due to the exit door being in disrepair and slamming throughout the day and night. The location and shuttle buses were the strong plus to this hotel, however, they do not overcome the negatives to this hotel.

I stayed there july 2010 despite the reviews i had a good experience overall. My room was clean no issues. The staff was friendly only complaint i had was the restaurant was a little on the pricey side for items such as soda ice cream and chips. In all honesty I think all hotels jack up the prices on those things. The breakfast buffet is a good deal especially if you have kids under the age of 10 since they eat free. It was clean and the wait staff was great. The other thing thats great about the hotel is it offers a free shuttle to the 4 disney parks. its also in walking distance to the marketplace and 15min walking distance to stores and the outlet.

Pics of our room nothing like advertised. Night was cold, heater(any ventilation) was loud and ran all night. Front desk claimed they had to flip a switch. We tried this and nothing changed. We slept without heater to get a decent nights sleep, good thing there was sufficient blankets. Parking overpriced. $*resort fee far from good deal. It rained so we did not use pool towels, we were vacationing and did not need Business Center, and Coffee in room should simply be included, besides we did not use it. Disney transportation possibly could make up for this, but far nicer hotels offer this too. Bar served cold beer and game room was adequate..

Our room was nice, we were given a king size bed which was comfortable. However, there are resort and parking fees not disclosed till we got there and in addition we were there for the mini-marathon and the night before the mini there were people in the jacuzzi at 2 am yelling and the next night there was some sort of scuffle next door which required security. Not the hotels fault but it made us decide to check out early. they were going to charge us anyway for the night we would not be staying, but after I explained why we were leaving waived the fee. Bar was also closed when we went to it Sat. afternoon after the mini, not sure why.

My family stayed at the Royal Plaza for 2 nights before a Disney Cruise. The room was huge and had plenty of room for all of us in a single room. The staff was fantastic and check in & check out were a breeze. They have a shuttle to Downtown Disney & all the Disney theme parks which is nice to avoid the hassles of driving & parking at the theme parks.
