This is without a doubt the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The managers of this facility are truly inexperienced and in my opinion cater only to convention parties. The bed was the most uncomfortable of any hotel room I have every stayed in and when we asked for assistance we were told the best they could do was send up an 'egg crate' for the mattress. When they brought it to us it looked absolutely nasty and had stains all over it. The managers were very disinterested in our concerns. We finally went to a local store and bought a new $*pillow topper for the bed just so as to be able to enjoy our stay. Trust me, if you want to see this hotel's atrium just stay at another hotel in the Orlando area an stop by the Gaylord Palms just to walk around one afternoon. In my opinion it's not that interesting to see and you'll save yourself alot of headache. We are very dissapointed with our visit. In addition, we got a virus on our email using the business center there on site.

Stayed at Gaylord Palms last March. If youre planning to make sure they dont have a big convention going on. They didnt tell us. The pools were grossly filled with people. Every pool chair was filled. Restaurants overrun. Tried to move to another hotel. Couldnt. When we talked to mgmt. they apologized but that was it. Huge waste of money. Not relaxing at all.

There were multiple problems that arose all within three hours of my check-in. Upon arrival, I was told that there were no king beds available, despite the fact that I had reserved one and had confirmation. After protesting, somehow a room with a king bed magically appeared. We got to our room we found it to be small and cramped and on the exact opposite side of the property from the convention I was there to attend. Upon exploration of the grounds, we found both the casual dining restaurant and the children’s pool were closed for renovations. Neither of which were disclosed upon reservation OR check in. I wouldn't have brought my husband and my 3 year old daughter if I'd been informed in advance that there would be nothing for them to do there. And, no, the adult pool wasn't an option as my daughter is THREE, the same goes for the sushi bar and seafood restaurant (allergies). After all this, upon returning to our room we found a security guard and maintenance man in our room without prior notification. Supposedly they were fixing the television, but as NONE of the Hotel features on the television were working, I have to question this. When I approached the front desk with these issues the only reply I received was “What do you want us to do? We can’t just open the pool for you. It is undergoing annual maintenance.” When I asked that if this is ANNUAL maintenance, why I wasn’t notified in advance? They just said that they didn’t know. I will not be recommending this “resort” to my friends, family, or business associates and will not be returning,

We stayed over the Christmas holiday so it was pretty crowded but was still lots of fun The room was nice and big so lots of room for a family of 4 to spread out. The pool, 9 hole mini golf and bocce were lots of fun....worth the $* resort fee. The workout room was great. I would suggest that they add a walking/jogging path around the hotel to add to the resort feel. My only complaints are that it was hard to get through to maintenance to fix our toilet that kept on clogging and that the restaurants and parking were pricey. Do you really need to pay that much when you are parking your own car?
