Stayed March 21-24, 2011. Beautiful west-coast nature feel throughout, amazing gallery of black-and-white photography in the hallways, beautiful lobby with fireplace and huge picture windows overlooking Elliott Bay, a nice place to enjoy a coffee at the end of a busy day. Bed was very comfortable and I loved the natural stone floor in the bathroom, as well as the gas fireplace in the bedroom. Dinner in the restaurant was exquisite, with a small-plate option for most entrees which was great. Valet parking (mandatory) is pricey, but there is a free shuttle which will take you anywhere you want to go, which is nice - even though we chose to walk most places instead. Staff was extremely friendly, they even offered us a free pass for the aquarium when we told them we were going. Everything is within walking distance (although the hills are steep!) - Pike Place, Aquarium, Science Centre, Space Needle, Experience Music Project, amazing shopping and restaurants galore. This is an expensive hotel, but we received it as a "top secret" hotel so saved a fair bit (although we ended up paying for an upgrade to a larger room). The only thing I didn't like was having to pay $*a day for the valet parking (although I have to say, the valet service was exceptionally good - and then there was that free shuttle). Overall, we had a great experience and I can't wait to go back in the summer and have a nice meal out on the deck.

What a fantastic Hotel. I recommend a water side room with a view. Restaurant is great for breakfast, but pricey for dinner, but there are restaurants everywhere, and the market is awesome. The Beatles stayed there in 1964, and many famous other musicians are pictured all over the hotel. LIVE MUSIC IN THE BAR ON THE WEEKENDS, AND A GREAT STAFF. Free shuttle all over town, you cannot beat the experience.

This hotel has train tracks that run right outside your window, with trains going back and forth every half-hour day and night. With unresponsive management, it was two nights without sleep. This is a video that someone posted - it will give you a perfect idea of what you are in for:

Incredibly close to Pike's, Seattle Aquarium & other downtown venues. Everything within walking distance. The van shuttle was great too. Took us anywhere we needed to go. The restaurant and bar, 67, was comfortable and fun. Great bands! Great food! Cool decor that is like a cabin-ish, but with an industrial flair. It is pretty cool. The staff was very friendly and the conceriege has helpful. Our room however, was just ok. We stayed in the 'family suite' on the city side. For a suite, it was definitely large enough. But, there were some things to be desired. The furniture seemed REALLY old, and had stains. And the beds were hard as a rock, but the pillows (and there were many of them provided!) were very comfy. There was a 'musty' smell in the hallways of the hotel, and even the room itself. It smelled like it used to be a smoking motel, but had been covered up. Needs some work asthetically. I would stay here again, but try to get a waterside room. You can't beat the location.
