I love this hotel. Whenever we are in Carmel this is where we stay. Nice friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfast outside your door (in cooler) in the AM. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Only thing to improve, I would like black out curtains on the windows in lieu or in addition to the blinds. I'm not a morning person so I like the room to be dark til I get up--just my personal preference. Really a sweet place.

Date of stay was April 2 & 3, 2010. Room was small, bathroom shower door track was moldy, toilet not cleaned. Recent paint job was so bad, the paint was on the fixtures, mirror, shower door, ceiling and more. Apparently no one supervises the unskilled painters. Couch was worn. We left a day early and got a larger better room at the Lobos Lodge at a lower price.

Very nice and clean hotel. The front desk was very helpful. Spacious room. They bring your breakfast in a small coller, very cute, they leave it at you door at 7:30 a.m. The location is superb. I would come back with no hesitation.

The Candle Light Inn was just as the reviews said it would be. The price was right and the locality of it was so convenient. We were a half block from the Hog's Breath Inn and within walking distance to all the shops and cafes. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable but the decor was on the old side with funky pictures on the wall and the couch a little worn. Sitting outside by teh fire pit with a bottle of wine was great! So, if you're looking for the Hyatt Regency... it's not here but if you want a reasonable priced room with a continental breakfast delivered outside your door in the morning...this is it! We will definatly go back.

The facility is quiant, clean and located for shopping, dining and heading to the beach. The assisnatance from the front desk was commendable. A special thanks to Cole for his quick responce to fixing TV and recommendation of the Mission Ranch for dinner. We will be back.
