Stayed at the Clarendon for 4 nights recently and overall I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel has a very funky vibe that probably wouldn't feel right for a business trip or a romantic getaway but made for some fun evenings. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the restaurant and bar were quite nice as well, although they closed a bit early. The pool and hotub were nice and I enjoyed both whenever I could. The rooftop bar was so-so... just a bunch of furniture on the roof, really. Nice view of the sunrise/sunset, though. The room was clean and pretty nice overall. The only thing that kind of bugged me about the stay was the mandatory $*/night fee they charge, which wasn't mentioned when I originally made my reservations. I guess I might stay there again, but it's not a place I'd have as my first choice.

The room was not cleaned daily, which we were not told about upfront. Additionally, the hotel front desk staff were not knowledgable about the area when we asked for dining recommendations. The hotel location is quite central and is located about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro/line stop for anyone not traveling with a car. The food at the on-site restaurant was good. We did not have time to use the pool, but the outdoor pool area seems very nice. Also, there is a nice view from the rooftop area.

Pretty much everything was just OK. I was a little let down and disappointed because I was expecting it to be nicer. Bringing in hipster furniture and decor, and putting a fresh coat of paint over and old 60's hotel just doesn't cut it. Maybe try removing the popcorn ceilings. Again, there was nothing wrong with it, just not what it seemed it would be based on the photos. The pool wasn't even that great in person. For what we payed I would have rather gone somewhere else.
