We stayed at the Waterfront Hotel in Jack London Square, Oakland, and had a wonderful time. The view of the Oakland estuary and yacht harbor made it well worth the cost of the rooms. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the rooms were great. Don't miss a walk down the esplanade along the water. Jack London's Last Chance bar is a must-see...it's old and cluttered and totally fun. We would highly recommend the Waterfront Hotel on your next visit to Oakland.

Very pleasant hotel. Clean and well maintained. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent location with easy access to San Francisco. The buisnesses and restaurants in Jack London Square very good. Overall really nice stay. Highly recomended.

We picked this motel because last time we stayed at the place across the street and we will never do that again. The reviews on this motel looked best so we went with this one rather than the 3rd choice that was the mid price. We were very pleased. It was out of our price range but we were not here for pleasure and had to have a motel due to daughters cancer and medical appointment. If we have to come back again we will stay here. If you are coming for any reason this would be the best choice in Jack London Square. There is a building between the hotel and the train so it is MUCH quieter here. I would imagine if you were on the water side it would be even quieter. We did hear a toddler crying downstairs in the middle of the night but that could happen anywhere. All things considered I think anyone would like this motel. I(mom) was here with daughter(13) and niece(14) and we felt safe in this motel.
