The front desk clerk was not friendly at all, bellhop was very nice though carrying all of our luggage to a secure room. We arrived very early,10 am (check in time 4 pm). Which was fine we went to Disneyland (conveniently located across the street) We came back about 3:45 only to be told that our room was not yet ready. We ended up sitting in the lobby for almost 2 more HOURS! The front desk head clerk was not even apologetic at all. Finally we got our room close to 6 pm and were told that they would bring our luggage (which was nice since the concierge club rooms do NOT have elevators, but at least are only 2 floors) After waiting another half hour and still our luggage didn't arrive we decided to go have dinner. When we got back to the hotel we stopped at the front desk, by this time it is 8 pm and we had been up since 3 am, only to find out that our luggage still had not been taken to our room and the head clerk had forgotten and was yet again not even sorry. We ended up toting our luggage (bags for 8 people) to the room ourselves. Finally settling in for the night we called the front desk because we had only one bath towel in our room. We were told they would bring some right away-apparently right away is the next morning when you find the maid working in a room down the hall and ask her yourself!! The rest of our time was fine just the first day was traumatic.

My family and I just recently spent two nights at the Carousel Hotel and had such a pleasant experience. I absolutely LOVED the wood floors in our hotel room!! Our room was spotless and quiet. Prior to our visit I was worried about the noise level at night, since we had our two young children who are light sleepers. We ALL slept like babies at the Carousel. The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional at all times. I can't wait to book our next trip.

BEWARE! You CANNOT park your own car. Parking is $*(incl tax) per car per day with a mandatory valet service. Tip or no tip? That is a question you ask each time you want to even get into your car. (They park with an overhang blocking the trunk, so even your own key can't get into the trunk.) Parking cost us almost $* over two days after tips because we used our cars to get around Anaheim. This wouldn't bother me, as it is in line with what other hotels in the area do. But it's outrageous to call it "incidental." It is guaranteed that, if you have a car, you will pay this fee. No choice. Not incidental. This policy isn't mentioned in booking information. What are you to do on arrival? Not park? Walk away from your reservation you made/paid for in advance months ago? RUBBISH! Our mattress was one of the worst I've ever slept on. Luckily, Disneyland tires you out enough, that it didn't matter much. One of our family opted to sleep on the floor. The "continental breakfast" offered the poorest fare of any continental breakfast I've seen. Plan on eating at the McDonald's up the block. On the positive side: The hotel is nice and the rooms have nice new furniture and seemed really clean. (Though I actually witnessed staff clean out an in-room coffee mug with windex, so don't use those.) The hotel is close to Disneyland's main entrance. Has a fridge and microwave in room. GREAT view of fireworks from dining room.
