I live in hotels mon thru fri 48 weeks per year. This is a first class room and is the best deal I have seen anywhere. When traveling to Washington I will stay not stay anywhere else. Great Alexandria location for good shopping for wife and great rest. The travel agency price was unbeatable. I give this hotel a five star rating. Stay there!

The room was excellent. It was clean, which is what matters most to me. The bed was perfect. We were a bit disappointed in that we requested a two bed room but had to make do with a king bed room. Other than that, it was absolutely wonderfully. The staff was polite and helpful.

Stayed here during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are some nice small eatery's 1 block away and many nice shops on King st. 5 or 6 blocks away. The shuttle to Reagan National Airport is great. It runs every half hour and the last pick up is at 10:45 every night. Here you can pick up the Metro (subway) into D.C. and forget about the driving and parking headaches. The Metro is clean, safe and easy to use. There is a very nice walking and jogging path behind the hotel that runs along the Potomac. The area around the hotel is mostly office buildings and is quite day and night. There is also 3 tennis courts across the street. The only draw back is there is no pool if you have kids that want to go for a swim. If no one wants to swim this is a very good choice!!!

Crown Plaza in Alexandria is clean, pleasant, and a good shuttle system. I would return inspite of the loud air conditioner/ heating system. The desk was resposive and courtious. Food in the dining room was very good and the selection was complete. However, we were incorredtly charged for a full buffet and was not told of the continental buffet . Be prepared to pay $*. to $*. for breakfast with little alternative. Dinner was a full dining room with two waiters and the wait was 40 minuter for food......but, good food.
