Enjoyed the Grand Hotel Minneapolis except for two items. First, during the day, the street in front of the Hotel is limited to bus traffic. The Valet for parking your car is around the corner from the hotel front entrance. Unless you are familiar with their set up it is not convenient. As I had flown into town early in the morning I planned to check in with the hotel, leave my bag, and then leave for work. Construction work was ongoing in the lobby and other than that it was empty of people. I noticed two desks next to the stairs and thought the woman at one of them could help me. She was on the phone and couldn't be bothered. I walked down a hall and ran into the front desk of the health club. They directed me back to the phone lady. I walked back,waited a while and was preparing to leave when she got off the phone. I explained I just wanted to drop my luggage and check in. She offered no place to put my luggage, scanned my credit card. I left the hotel with my luggage and put it back in the car. The hotel public rooms and halls were well appointed, the door staff and valets were very personable. My room, though not large and with an interior window was very nice and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, well stocked with towels, soaps, and a scale that did not work. I would stay again at the deal price I paid.

paid an extra $8 for a premium room at a reasonable price and got a lovely corner room, well furbished. Hotel staff was very helpful. Access to pool and gym were a great benefit. Well located.

What a pleasant surprise! Definately worth every penny to stay in this Hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional! Not one thing out of place anywhere and the cleanest Hotel I've ever stayed in! The fitness center, pool and raquetball courts are amazing! The beds are like sleeping on clouds. We did not want to leave. I will only stay at this hotel every time I'm in Minneapolis for a Viking game. Only a 5 minute walk to the Metrodome and the night life!

The pictures of the Grand hotel do not do it justice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I've travelled all over the world. We live in Mpls and decided to spend a night in downtown to celebrate our anniversary. The room was one of the most beautiful rooms. And, ask for a room on the 12th floor because that is the only floor that have the rooms with 12ft ceilings and the four poster bed you see in some of the pictures. The amenities were top notch. The bathroom beautiful and the robes....ahhhhh! I wish we could have stayed much longer. If you want to treat yourself to something special and not just your ""typical"" hotel room...pay any $$ difference and stay here. You have full access to the Lifetime Fitness Club and park at an attached ramp if you don't want to pay for valet service. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Everything was perfect.
