We were looking for an inexpensive alternative to the verrrrry expensive hotels in Boston. We trusted Comfort Inn as we have had good experience with them in the past. While this hotel was still priced above what we would normally expect from Comfort Inn, it was less expensive than most in the area and we expected good things. Free shuttle from the airport was good but we had to wait almost an hour for it to arrive, vehicle was old an rattled all over, seatbelts didn't work and upholstery was torn - driver was nice. Lobby was extremely small, we had to wait outside in the blowing rain for others with their luggage to check in because we couldn't get in the door. Check in was slow but when we arrived at our room, it was very small, with only one double bed, not the king we had requested or even two double beds. I called the front desk and told them that we did not get the room we had reserved - the person at the desk very rudely and abruptly informed me that they were all booked up and there was nothing they could do about it - "Just take it up with Travelocity" she said, and I assured her that I would. We spent an uncomfortable night, as my husband and I are too large. The breakfast area was too small to accomodate the number of people, while breakfast was OK, we had to wait for a place to sit down, and when we sat down we had to sit with two other strangers. Breakfast area was not clean, I attributed it to the number of people there, maybe so, maybe not. Shuttle to the cruise terminal was efficient, again an old 'beat-up' vehicle, driver was nice.

The hotel room was about average, reasonably clean, a little old, no refrigerator as yahoo lists, beds were just ok. Continental breakfast was a nice perk. Staff was helpful. Shuttle service to the "T" (subway) was the clincher, as it made getting around Boston proper pretty easy. Nothing is really convenient to the hotel by foot though. Shuttle service to the airport was great as well. Boston hotel rates are pretty high all over. I might try a different hotel if I was renting a car, but traffic in Boston is crazy, and the T is so easy to use (get a 7 day pass if your there more than 2 days-only $*). In all I am satisfied that I got my moneys worth.
