Recently stayed at The Oxford, and it was nothing special, definitely not worth the $* plus the outrageous $* a night valet parking (which they would not waive eventhough I spent $* in the spa that day--which was also a let down). Doormen were excellent, but the front desk decent during the day and uncaring and cold at night. We were stuck in a room facing the alley so we were kept up by a fight and people throwing their trash away all night long. The bathroom sinks make it nearly impossible for a woman to get ready as there is next to no surface area and no other vanity space. We will not go back.

Very nice hotel convenient (one block) to the Amtrak station in downtown Denver's LoDo area. One block from all the restaurants and shops along the 16th Street pedestrian mall. Staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful (printed my boarding pass). Noon checkout was a plus. Free internet access, nice Bose soundsystem, king bed in a quiet room. Hotel is a stop for the super shuttle to the airport.

I was very dissappointed in this 4* hotel for the following reasons. Upon entering our room we found nothing to put our suitcases on. Had to use the desk chair. The room was quite small. The shower was either too hot or too cold. There was no place to put my bathroom articles. We could not find any card or information about TV stations and there wasn't a guide through the cable system. The front desk didn't have info available either. There wasn't a folder or notebook explaining the hotel services. No coffee pot available in the room. I guess coffee was set up in the morning down the hall but we didn't know about it until we were checking out. I didn't feel like I was in a hotel that had just done a major renovation. The bellhop was very very nice. We appreciated a free towncar ride to the Pepsi Center. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
