- Nightly Gratuity - The resort has adopted a no-cash tipping policy. Instead, they have established a set gratuity charge which is automatically posted to your account on a nightly basis. This charge includes the services of our doorman, bellmen with check-in and check-out service, as well as daily and nightly chambermaid service. The charge is 18.00 plus tax per night per room.

This is a very comfortable to vacation. Everything is very well done but not stiff and too formal. Our room was a very generous size, nicely decorated & right on beach but was not the most expensive they have. Breakfast buffet in main building is across the street - two minute walk- well done and not your usual over priced fare. Everybody who worked there was very pleasant and helpful.

We totally enjoyed the nice facilities at Ponte Vedra Inn. The room was spacious and well decorated with comfortable beds, upgraded tolitries and plenty of linens. I was with my husband and 2 older teen sons and we shared a room with 2 queen beds quite comfortably. When we asked for extra coffee and creamer or towels we were immediatly provided with more than we asked. We were also upgraded to an oceanfront room when we arrived which we enjoyed with the nice view. We will definately stay here again.

We were more than pleasantly surprised to find a perfectly beautiful resort with excellent, large rooms, lovely landscaping, wonderful service and lots of amenities (down to two umbrellas in our room in case it rained). Ponte Vedra has a terrific golf course (so we heard--we don't play), two outdoor pools, lots of little bars and lounges, lots of shops--and a gorgeous long and wide ocean beach that's carefully tended. The place is child-friendly, too. Breakfast is served in the inn's main dining room--complete with linens and flowers and a huge buffet. Ponte Vedra has three other full-menu restaurants--we felt the two flagship restaurants were not as good as the one in the golf club, which anyone can go to. The other two almost try too hard to gussy up the food--fresh fish, for example, does not require heavy sauces and gnocci with it; simple grilling will do. That's about our only criticism. The staff was superb and responsive to our questions and needs. And there's lot to do and see in St. Augustine, Jacksonville and other towns in the area. We plan to go back with our children and grandchildren.

We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. We chose to spend an extra $/night to have an oceanside room, and it was well worth it. We were right on the beach. The beach, by the way, was not crowded at all. It was great just to walk down the beach looking at the beautiful mansions on one side and the ocean on the other. The restaurants were not as pricey as some of the other reviews said when you consider the quality of the food. The fish dishes, baked Caesar salad and lobster bisque were incredible. We will definitely go back, even though coming from Denver, it's a pain to get to (no non-stop flights since Frontier dropped their flight).

MY BOYFRIEND AND I OWN A BUSINESS ON HILTON HEAD. IT'S VERY STRESSFUL AND WE DO NOT GET A LOT OF TIME OFF. PONTE VEDRA IS A SHORT 2 AND A 1/2 HOURS. THIS RESORT IS AMAZING. THEY DO NOT LET YOU USE CASH HERE. IT'S ALL ON YOUR ROOM CARD. THE SPA IS GREAT!! WE GOT A COUPLE'S MASSAGE THERE. YOU HAVE TO STAY IN A ROOM ON THE BEACH AND BOTTOM FLOOR. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AMAZING. I WAS NOT IMPRESS WITH THE RESTAURANT, IT WAS PRETTY OVER PRICED FOR LUNCH. (BUT THAT'S NORMAL FOR A HOTEL) i SUGGEST TRAVELING OFF THE RESORT GROUNDS TO EAT BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS A PERFECT 10. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!
