Never use travelocity to obtain hotel reservations!

One week ago, we were unable to go the MSP because of an injury the week before, and the Holiday Inn said that we could not cancel our reservation or reschedule it because we obtained it through travel agency They said we could have have if we had made them with Holiday Inn directly. We were therefore out of pocket over $* for two nights. Moral: Never Ever book hotel / motel reservations through travel agency

This place is a great deal and location. Very nice setting in main lobby and bar. The rooms could be more urban trendy matching the rest of the hotel. Parking was the only negative keep in mind to add an additional $* for parking. On a 1-10 I give this place a 8.5.

This hotel is the closest to the Metrodome about 8 blocks but they also have a shuttle if you are feeling lazy or the weather doesn't cooperate on game day. Its also right across the Washinton bridge from the UMN campus you can take the campus bus from the corner if you are lazy or the weather doesn't cooperate. Better yet are the multitude of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance....our favorite was right across the street. The hotel is ordinary, nothing exceptional but the front desk service was good, always willing to give you directions or suggestions on places to eat. The pool is small, the hot tub big, and the sauna wonderful. We will definitely stay again!

Stayed 4 nights for a family reunion in town. Room was clean, staff was attentive enough for a hotel in this price range. I usually stay at much more expensive hotels, but was satisfied with the experience. Good points are the room service food which was pretty good and SUPER inexpensive and there are a number of cool pubs/food joints within walking (or stumbling) distance. Parking was a drag but overall a decent place to stay. Horrible towels. Probably a great place to stay for a game at the Metrodome.
