Check in was quick. We arrived late having flown into Dulles, took bus ,then Metro to Bethesda. This was very doable. The warm cookes upon check in was a nice touch after our journey. Room was very large, comfortable and quiet. The hotel bar was quiet and nice. Bethesda has a fun downtown, lots of restaurants and shops.

Great place to stay on a DC visit
11/07/2010Good hotel, just 4 blocks ,or so, to walk to the metro. breakfast was excellent, bat the coffee, very weak. movie rental did not work, a minor glitch. sushi restaurant ...
Good Hotel, Just 4 blocks ,or so, to walk to the metro. Breakfast was excellent, bat the coffee, very weak. Movie rental did not work, a minor glitch. sushi restaurant downstairs did not seem very good, BUT, 2 blocks south is the Tako, perhaps one of the best I have been to. Staff were great

07/11/2010All first class, great location. parking is valet but no charge (just small tips). has full business center. printer was out but front desk staff compensated well.

The Doubletree was great and staff very helpful. The location is near multiple places to eat with all kinds of food. The beds were comfortable. My only complaint was that we were placed in a handicapped room .The shower leaked out in the bathroom, but there is a drain in the middle of the bathroom for that reason. The last night of stay we had a couple that was loud and drunk, but the staff quickly took care of the situation. They notified us that they did and asked we report anything else if needed and the couple would be removed. This was a comfort to us, thank goodness they went to sleep. This definately is not a negative for the hotel, life happens and it's not their fault. They have the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten that they greet you with on arrival. I will be ordering some in the future. Their shuttle leaves every hour to get you to the metro, schedule is run a little different on the weekend, just ask.
