    Overall, my stay was good! The front desk people were friendly, efficient, & helpful. The room had clearly been a smoking room at one point, as I could smell residual smoke, but the room was clean. I was comfortable in the area & with my accommodations. I was in Baltimore on a busy weekend, so that affected my stay - by the time I got to breakfast, just about everything was gone. Housekeeping was knocking on my door 45 minutes before check-out, but they were cordial when I told them I wasn't ready for them yet. Had it not been such a busy weekend in Baltimore, I think things would have been better. My hotel experience met my standards. I would stay at the Quality Inn Harbor South again if I were to return to Baltimore. I liked the proximity to the Inner Harbor (5-minute drive) without the cost of being in the Inner Harbor.

    THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE. THE HOTEL PRACTICALLY NEEDS TO BE TORN DOWN AND AND COMPLETELY GUTTED AND RECONSTRUCTED. THE DOORS TO THE ROOMS GIVE ONE THE IMPRESSION THAT THERE WERE BREAK-INS OR ATTEMPTED BREAK-INS. THE BUILDING SHOWS ITS AGE, THE ICE MAKER WAS BROKEN AND ONLY THE ICEMAKER ON THE 4TH FLOOR WORKED. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. THEY STOOD OUTSIDE OF YOUR ROOM AND MADE IT A POINT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT IT WAS TIME TO CHECK OUT AND YOU WERE HOLDING THEM BACK FROM CLEANING THE ROOMS. THE BATHTUB WAS FILTHY AND THRE CONSECUTIVE ROOMS SHOWED THE LACK OF CLEANLINESS AND BLACK DIRT WAS EVIDENT IN ALL OF THE BATHTUBS. WE PLACED ONE OF THE BATHTOWELS IN THE TUB TO PROTECT US FROM THE GERMS IN THE BATHTUB. I WILL NEVER EVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE STAY THERE.

    Quality Inn Harbor South 1401 Bloomfield Avenue Baltimore, MD 21227 My wife and I have extensive travel time over the 8 years we have been together and belong to the Choice Privileges rewards programs and stay at these all the time. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO OF ANY HOTEL CHAIN IN THE US OR ABROAD!!!! Let's start at the beginning. We got this hotel because we were in Baltimore for Medical reasons and needed a restaurant in the hotel - or as most would call it ON SITE dinning. We were told by the front desk this was so when we booked. The hotel is 100 yards away at the top of a hill and is not easily accessed at all! So now one of us with bum leg in a wheelchair has to be an athlete. When I called the front desk to inquire as to where the on site restaurant was I was told very rudely it was on site and then the manager got on th phone and did the same. I finally just hung up because I guess they were right and I was wrong. All I wanted to know was where the on site restaurant was! Frustrated we went to a really good dinner at the restaurant. We worked up an appetite getting up the hill. On our way back we stopped by the front desk and asked for extra pillows and were told there were only 6 of them and they were all handed out. This was the same girl who doesn't understand On Site. We got back and I then got up and turned on my TV. This was barely visible. I swiveled the TV towards myself and the cable TV comes out of the TV. Only issue is the cord is still screwed in! The thing sheared off in the back of the TV! The thing was barely functioning when we got there and I guess we screwed it up by adjusting the TV. Well finally a woman who worked the night staff was helpful. I went down and begged to be moved to another room. She was nice enough to do it and she went to unoccupied rooms and got us some pillows. When we got to the new room it too had issues. The previous room was HC accessible and this was not. Understandable on short notice. The previous room had an Iron and this room had the stand but no Iron. The previous room had a fridge and this one did not. So there is two items missing. We ended up storing our leftovers in the office fridge and for good reason we never went and retrieved them. The remote control for the TV worked when it wanted to only. The final straw came when my room key stopped working and I had to have a passing worker let me into our room. Rather than staying in that place an extra night we paid $ upgrade to our Airline to go home and left. You may think it's extravagant but I assure you that we camp and sleep in much. much better woods. IF YOU STAY HERE YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING YOU GET. YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT THAT BRIGHT. IF I READ THIS REVIEW I WOULD HAVE NOT STAYED THERE SO BE SMART.
