Hotel is in area of town with hundreds of homeless. The hotel is old, worn carpet and few staff (poor service). Workout facility is "under construction". Staff told me to run the three (actually six) blocks to fitness center that was CLOSED (passed 40 homeless on the way). Worst night sleep followed by bad morning.

The room was nice, the shower weird (I was in a handicapped room for some reason), and I thought I got two beds instead of one king, but the staff is the best thing in the whole hotel. The last day I was there, I saw them put someone's luggage in a taxi for the hotel because it had been left behind. Not many hotel staff would go out of their way to that extent.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple of years and have yet to have a disappointing experience. The staff is very attentative and cordial. The pricing is very attractive considering the location. Parking has become easier with experience. The only complaint is I would like to see them update their televisions. Sunday breakfast was better than expected and very accomodating. Always look forward to the Phillips Hotel

We we there 7 years earlier and when a group was playing we wanted to see at Crossroads we knew that we had to come back to this hotel. Lot of Art Deco styling and old world charm that we like. Friendly staff and great breakfast made it a wonderful stay
