My family really enjoyed this hotel. The funny thing is that we have driven by it several times over the years and didn't realize it is actually a place to stay. The hotel takes up a whole block in downtown Omaha, but it is in a historic building so it doesn't look like hotels of today. It was gorgeous! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the rooms and hallways, looking at the unique architectural details today's buildings often lack. Every person we met was friendly and helpful. The milk and cookie bar before bed was a great touch and the cookies were fantastic. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We loved the bathroom, but its sliding door wasn't very private, especially with sound. There were several other people staying on our floor, but we never heard anyone out in the halls. Everyone was quiet and respectful of other guests. In the morning, I used the exercise facility in the basement and was very pleased with their equipment. It is a larger facility than most hotels I visit and everything worked. The breakfast was pretty good. They offered pancakes, eggs, and oatmeal in warmers, fresh fruit, breads and rolls. We missed having a breakfast meat such as bacon or sausage. They offered several drinks such as milk, juices, and coffee. It was all set up in the hotel's bar so there was plenty of seating and a fun street view out the windows. If you stay here, you need to know that it is not in the Old Market area, but is adjacent to the Orpheum. There is a parking garage across the street, but we parked for free on the street a couple of blocks down since it was the weekend. Also, the Magnolia does not have a swimming pool.

We arrived late after our plane was delayed and our luggage was lost, we hadn't eaten all day. The gal at check in requested that the kitchen stay open to feed us, which they did. We had an amazing meal (lobster mac n cheese) and the chef even came out to talk to us. When we told them our luggage was lost, they gave us a kit with toothpaste, toothbrushes, hairbrush, etc. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! - even checking in about the temperature in our room since it was a cold day our and we were traveling with a 4 month old baby. Our bed was so comfortable with nice cozy down pillows and duvet ( we didn't have PJ's since our luggage was lost so we stayed warm even though). The bathroom was a pretty marble throughout. We had the free breakfast the next morning and got some eggs, bacon, oatmeal and bagels. They also had very tasty coffee. Overall I wouldn't change a thing about our stay, they were the nicest people and we were very happy there, we would stay again

We arrived late at night and we were treated no differently than as if we got there on time. We were informed of all our parking options, street or valet, and how the meters work in their area. The doormen and the concierge were very polite and helpful. They also called to double check with us if we needed housekeeping because they noticed we had our do not disturbed sign. You might think that defeats the purpose but its actually very kind because we could have forgotten we had it on the door. We would definitely make Magnolia Hotel our number one choice when staying in Omaha again. It was a very good value for our money.
