Not as nice as you would think

Although it may look nice in the lobby area and hallways, it definitely wasn't the same story once we were inside our room. First of all, the non-smoking room smelled like smoke mixed with mold and that was with the air conditioner on, so I can only imagine the smell that would permeate the room if the AC wasn't on. We had a patio area which was a joke, since it only contained 2 chairs, a table, and an ash tray, while being completely enclosed by a wall, resulting in no view whatsoever, unless you looked up to the sky. And apparently, the people at the pool can look down into the patio since our room was right below/next to it, so there's really no privacy unless you keep your curtains shut the whole time. Also, the Orlando said they offered complementary internet, which didn't matter since it didn't even work the whole time we were there. And after we called the front desk to notify them, it still wasn't fixed. On top of all of this, the bathroom was dingy and the tub was stained. To make matters worse the light directly above the shower area was on a timer of 15 minutes max, so if you wanted to take a shower longer than that, you'd be showering in the dark. Honestly, what hotel has a wind-up timer on a light?! The only positive things I can say about our stay are that the bed was comfortable and the staff was fairly nice. And if I could tell the hotel owners one thing, it would be to stop spending so much money on making the common areas look so nice and start spending money on fixing up/updating the rooms because that's what people are paying for!

I love this hotel and come here whenever I am in Los Angeles. The rooms are huge compared to the other hotels nearby. Beds are the most comfortable and big. I always wake up feeling more rested here than I do at home. Decor is lovely as well. Most of all the front desk staff are just the nicest and most helpful people.

The hotel is a bit shabby. Just little things not taken care of. For the price I expect more care to be taken. It is somewhat upscale modern but feels like a business hotel. The outside is not very attractive; the inside makes up for it. The bathroom had mold on the light fixtures and peeling paint and holes in the ceiling above the sink. The tub faucet had a constant small stream of water coming out of it. It was quiet and there were a lot of families there when we stayed. Staff was accomodating. Breakfast was good and included in the room

We celebrated our anniversary and booked the executive room for two nights--fabulous! They take the prize for sophistication--the decor is very modern. French doors opened to the outside patio with a view of the hills. The restaurant, La Terza is highly regarded by locals--excellent Italian food. The owners are charming. Your stay includes a full cooked to order breakfast. The location is perfect--lots of shopping. Very close to Farmers Market, Beverly Hills, The Grove and the West Side. Parking is $20.50 per day with in.out priveliges. It is definitely 4 stars!
