This hotel is very nice, modern, clean and kept well up to date. Plenty of staffing to help and answer questions, several food and snack options. My floor and room seemed to be all recently remodeled and made to look modern yet with class! Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, woke up every morning feeling very refreshed! As far as local transportation DO NOT use the LA Metro from the hotel, you will wind up in some really bad areas, instead use the Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus route 3 or rapid 3 either from the stop Northbound just a block east of the Hotel or from the LAX transit center just a block behind the Hotel, this bus costs $* or $* for the express rapid and the bus will take you right into the heart of Santa Monica, from there you can transfer to LA Metro buses into Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Downtown LA.

Satyed 4 nights and had absoultly no problems. The location was great and the staff was very friendly. They even switched our room for us so we could have an ocean view! Hotel room was nothing spectacular but if you are looking a good quality hotel Crown Plaza is it. Bed was very comfortable but room could have been a little cleaner. But I am a clean freak so the room likely wouldnt be a problem for normal travelers. Parking is expensive but convienent. If you don't want to pay the parking prices we parked down the block on a side street a few of the nights. It was a little walk but saved us some money. Overall I would recommend this hotel as we are already booking another trip in Sept.

I stayed at this hotel in July 2008. The room clean and the beds very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent and the room was cleaned everyday twice a day. Concierge was helpful and pleasant. They arranged all my site seeing activities! the shuttle bus was convenient and I believe it arrives every fifteen minutes. If you are new to California, this hotel is a nice place to stay as it safe, friendly and convenient.

We needed a place close to the airport for an early a.m. flight, and for after we returned. This was a good location for the money. Shuttle bus was good. Bellmen were helpful. Room was fine, not great. You could hear the planes taking off. However, the surrounding buildings blocked some of the noise. We did get upgraded with priority club on our first nights stay, but not on the return stay. (Some front desk personnel better than others.) Business center worked well, and was a bit cheaper than the lobby kiosks. We would stay again providing the rate was good.
