Located in Gramercy Park, I expected the elegance of Gramercy Park. The room was small, almost claustrophobic. The bathroom was smaller then the bathroom in an RV! The hotel was very dark.The hallways had the room numbers on the floor in white carpeting because the hall was so dark you could not read the room numbers next to the door! The room itself was painted a dark color making it appear even smaller than it was. It was so small if someone was sitting at the desk you could not get between them and the bed to get through to the other side of the room. There was only one chair, the very uncomfortable desk chair. Don't know where two people would sit it you ordered room service. The only good things about the room was the closet was actually bigger than the bathroom, the glasses in the mini bar were crystal and there was a large umbrella in the closet for rainy days! We did not avail ourselves of any of the hotel services to comment on them. If you are into castles, dungeons and perhaps even vampires, this is the place for you. Glad we only stayed one night. Can't help but think that because we booked through Travelocity instead of direct, that we were given the worst room in the hotel!

Rooms are extremely dark; staff lacks knowledge; not a good value for the price; bathroom was so small, couldn't turn around in it! Decorations of hotel are personal preference, but did not enjoy the decor or colors. The lobby smell of potporri was overwhelming!

One of the better places to stay in Manhattan. Loved the private park (which the hotel has the key to). Lots of stuff to do nearby. But if you don't feel like going too far, theres lots to do inside as well. Check out the Rose and Jade Bars and the hotel spa.

One of the better places to stay in Manhattan. Loved the private park (which the hotel has the key to). Lots of stuff to do nearby. But if you don't feel like going too far, theres lots to do inside as well. Check out the Rose and Jade Bars and the hotel spa.
