The hotel is in a great location. Only minutes from the white house and main attratctions. The hotel was clean and in very good condition. The staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay there again anytime.

We were delighted with this hotel! Our room was very nice, quite comfortable, and larger than I had expected (we had two double beds.) There were some extra sitting areas and a kitchen sink and refrigerator with a well stocked mini-bar. The hotel is pretty and is in a perfect location -- within a couple of blocks of two different metro stations. It is right in the middle of George Washington University and a well patrolled, very safe area. The Hotel Lombardy is within easy walking distance of the West Mall area where all the monuments and war memorials are. One day I walked to the White House and the East Mall area, but after that I took the metro. There are numerous places to eat right in the neighborhood and the Cafe Lombardy itself is wonderful. We ate several breakfasts and dinners there, and the food was delicious. Hotel and restaurant personnel were all very pleasant and accommodating, and we felt well taken care of. There is a safe in the room to store valuables. I can't think of anything negative to say unless it is that the bathroom light did not always want to turn on, but someone came and worked on it and it seemed to do OK after that. We stayed eight nights, and I never wished I were staying elsewhere. If I am lucky enough to make another trip to Washington, D.C., I will certainly plan to stay in this hotel again.

Our king room had a small breakfast area with sink and refrigerator. The bed was excellent. The bathroom fixtures are slightly dated but in good condition. There is a small make-up table outside the bathroom. The reception staff (desk, bellhops) were attentive but not especially helpful - little information, no business center, no knowledge of restaurants or other facilities. One small elevator (4 people max without luggage). The location (halfway between two metro stops, near GWU) is quite convenient. We two senior citizens rode the metro from Reagan and easily made our way down the sidewalks for the 2-3 block distance to the hotel. Didn't eat in the hotel's restaurant (1) because of prices and (2) because we wanted to visit local restaurants. Would we stay again? Probably not, but only because we'd want to stay in a different section of town. Nothing about the hotel would make us look elsewhere.

I loved Hotel Lombardy. Great location. Great price. Great service. Great rooms. Do not even hesitate to make a reservation here. The location is so convenient to Foggy Bottom Metro. Walking distance (comfy shoes) to Georgetown. The room was a little small, but comfortable, clean, elegant. Elevator service is slow because it is so small, but, really, not a big deal. Stop searching now, and book your room. You won't regret it.
