Stayed one night due to not wanting to drive back home from downtown and what a great idea. The hotel staff worked closely with my boyfriend at the time to have chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. It was the best in town get away I could have wanted. The room over looked the landing and the river. We were missing the room service menu but they had it to our room within minutes of calling the front desk. Everything about the hotel was PERFECTION!!

I stayed at this hotel for one night while I was in town for business. The hotel is located just a block or so off the riverfront, but you still have a good view if you are higher up. We walked about half a block to a nice area with shops and restaurant. Rooms were good size and bed was comfortable. Bathrooms were nice, with nice bath products. For some reason, the bathroom in my room was a lot warmer than the rest of the room and never got much cooler. Also, the cold water handle was a little tight and as it was square shaped, kind of hurt my hand to pull hard on. My only complaint was with the parking. There is a parking garage but it is quiet busy during the day. There are also no in-and-out privilages there, so if you are planning to go back out and don't want to have to pay them machine every time, you have to use valet. Staff was friendly and helpful.

  • You're downtown, so pay up

This is a thoroughly unremarkable hotel, where you pay a near-premium rate for not a whole lot in return. Want to use the business center? There's a charge for it. Internet? Pay up. No breakfast, no other extras. Premium-priced restaurant. This is a business-class hotel, stuck in a recession that has done NOTHING to account for that fact. Seek a better value.

Online travel website had a sale at $* a night which included the valet parking charge, and the location was perfect, right by easy access to and from I-10 and I-95. The Jacksonville Landing was close, a block down the street. Room was clean and nice, good bathroom and quality amenities soap, shampoo, lotion, bathtowels. Hot water was fine unlike some places that have a problem. Staff was very courteous and attentive. The chambermaid was helpful and was even shy to take a tip for helping. We even got a free paper when we asked for one as we were leaving after checkout. My roommate used the fitness center and it seemed adequate for both cardio and strength training. Minor negatives: The construction of the doors and/or walls let hallway noise into the room which wasn't a problem while I was there, but I could imagine it would've been if we were on a very busy and loud floor. The in-room coffee maker and free coffee were hidden in a cabinet, so we didn't have coffee in-room until the 2nd morning when we found it on accident! There are not enough easily accessible electric outlets because there should at least be one on the desk and one by the beds for computers and phone charging. There was only one fairly thin bathrobe in the room, not a big deal since I don't use the hotel bathrobe, but the lower quality stood out in relation to the class of the hotel. A very good value for the price I got the room for. I would definitely stay here again.

Cookie cutter hotel, nothing special. We were sitting out by the pool on Friday night enjoying the view, and we were told we had to leave because it was 10pm and they were closing the pool area...we were 2 adults not swimming, and not allowed to stay. Next time we will stay at the Hyatt which is right on the water.
