03/30/2010Ok room, lots of construction noise. nickel and dimed for everything - $1.00 for in-room coffe in the coffee maker. no newspaper. fitness room was pretty well equiped.

When we checked in, our room was not ready, had to wait a few hours and the front desk woman was very rude and unfriendly. We were meeting friends that also stayed here and the same front desk girl was very rude to them also. Our last night there a man was working the front desk and he was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very small.

We stayed at the Affinia Dec. 18-20. This hotel was exceptionally clean, beautiful and located 1 block from the main shopping areas on Michigan Ave. The train stop was close and handy. We will definitely stay there again. Got an unbelievable price online for this very upscale hotel. The staff was super efficient and the concierge was great. Since we vist our daughter who lives in Chicago often, we will definitely make this hotel our regular place to stay unless the prices go way up.
