I stayed at the Biltmore spur of the moment because I was going to a party in Los Angeles and didn't want to have to drive all the way home to Ventura. I have to say I expected a little more from a Biltmore hotel. Furthermore, the remote for the very small television did not work so I had to get up and change the channel. This probably could have been fixed with new batteries, but at midnight I did not feel like having someone enter my room. The bathroom was pretty small as well. On the plus side, the lobby of the hotel is gorgeous, there is a fun bar with live music on Friday nights (and probably other nights) and the size of my room was quite large. Additionally, the air conditioner worked great!

What a beautiful, classy old world hotel. While it is in downtown LA and you need a car to get anywhere from there, the place is fabulous. Excellent staff who are professional and well trained. Beautiful rooms with a separate shower in a very large bathroom. The bar area is great and the bartender is an old hand at mixing your favorite cocktail. This is a wonderful, special place that if you are coming to LA you have to stay in at least once. For me, once won't be enough!

I would definately stay again. The location was convenient to public transportation. Good value for the money. We did not dine at the hotel but the restaurants looked great. One down side was that there was no free wi-fi. The business center had very slow computers and I gave up on trying to use the web. Did not have time to use the pool or fitness facility but thwey looked nice, albeit small. This hotel was built before the fitness craze so it does not have all the amenities as newer hotels but it has more charm.

I booked this hotel based on some really good reviews and the name Biltmore. Seemed like a great hotel and it was close to the convention center. Being close to the convention center was about the only good thing about this place. When my colleague and I first arrived, we went to check in and were told that there was only one room per my reservation (this was a pre-paid booking). We had them check different variations of names, but with no luck. I finally had to call Travelocity to prove that we had 2 rooms booked when suddenly, they found the room reservation. It was very suspicious. It really did seem that they were trying to get us to book another room at a much higher rate than we got with Travel Agency. That's just conjecture on my part however. OK...so next up: the room itself. My colleague had no complaints with his room other than it was a really standard kind of room set within a beautiful, historic hotel. It's obvious the Millenium group isn't into historic representation of their rooms. They like to keep things very cheap looking. I digress. My room was terrible. Incredibly small (I would guess about 120 sq. ft.) and right next to the elevators. Since this was a business trip, it was necessary for me to have a quiet room in order to work. I asked them to move me to a different room, which they did with no problems. The 2nd room was much better, but I was left wondering why they stuck me in such a terrible room to begin with. Other problems - some of the staff were great; others were unhelpful bordering on rude. Room service was prompt, but the food was just awful. I won't stay here again.
