I booked this hotel for my husbands birthday. I booked two rooms online, and they charged me for four rooms. Even though I had the confirmation number for the booking of two rooms, they refused to cover the over daft fees they caused me, and in the end I don't think they even gave me back the charges for the other two rooms. I think they only gave me back the fees for one room. When we arrived at the hotel, the rooms were small and run down. I found it quite distasteful, and borderlind disgusting. Stay somewhere else.

Wow, I have to say I am surprised by some of these reviews. We just got back from a weekend visit and our room was fantastic! THe rooms do NOT look like a haunted house. The decor is traditional and classy. Yes, perhaps the wallpaper and curtains are a little dated, but they are a nice, traditional pattern and look fine with the lovely cherry furniture that adorn the rooms and hallways. The view from our room of the Inner Harbor was absolutely second to non! I am pretty picky about cleanliness and can't stand a stinky, musty hotel. I am a definite germphobe. No worries here, this room was clean as can be. No mildew in the bathroom, just sparkling marble. No dusty corners in the room! The climate control was excellent. The robe was cozy and the toiletries were nice. The staff was very pleasant. That all being said, there were a few disappointments. The parking was definitely way too expensive. (though not unusual for a city) Most amenities are over-priced. The towels, though clean, were not fresh-smelling. The coffee maker brews terrible coffee. The bathrooms don't have a fan-definitely something that we missed. I hate entering bathrooms that someone else has steamed up. (not to mention the other things that can make bathrooms unpleasant!) Also, the beds were very, very soft-(in a bad way!) The mattresses had absolutely no support and my back was killing me when I awakened. However, despite the negatives, I would probably return because the location was perfect, the rooms were clean and attractive, and staff helpful.

This hotel is showing it's age since the last time I was there. The room was damp and musty. The shower was not working well. Definitely not worth the extra $ you spend to be across from the Inner Harbor. I will have to find another favorite.

After a three night stay at the Intercontinental, using the parking pass that I was given at the desk and told would "take care" of me to park each night, my card was charged *.00 PER DAY for parking! On questioning this, I was told that the parking facilities are not connected with the hotel, so the charge is separate. This would be a good thing to know at the beginning of the reservation process! I would never have stayed with them if I had been aware of this - if you read, all it says is that parking is available. SHAME on you Intercontinental!

This hotel is extremely old. The decor is really bad and gives you the Haunted Mansion feeling (Disneyland) as you walk the halls. They charge an upgrade to get a room overseeing the harbor (The Intercontinental Inner Harbor, go figure). The Valet is $*. I have no problem with businesses earning a $, but for this hotel, the prices do not match the experience. There is no way anyone should spend more than $* for this hotel (including the Valet and the view of the harbor). I left a message for the concierge as it was our aniversary. I wanted to do something special in the room and wanted restaraunt recommendations. I never received a call back. I have been to several 5 star resorts and hotels and this hotel would be lucky to earn 2.5 stars.
