The Chicago Marriott was awesome. My wife and I were here visiting friends over the weekend and busniess during the week. The hotel is in great shape. The new lobby is a fun and relaxing place to hang out. The room was great too. Staff was perfect and very accomodating. There was alway someone around to assist with any request. Great location to local restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. We will definitely be back.

The hotel was very clean, staff courtous and knowledgeable. My room was ready when I came in from out of town on an earlier flight at 10 a.m. I did eat ONCE at the hotel restaurant. It was expensive and the food was lukewarm. The food served by Marriott at the on site conference (two meals and two "snacks") were much better, healthier and HOT when appropriate. Had it not been that the meals were provided, I would have looked outside of the premises for other food venues. The travel agency price is much lower than the actual price for a room that we received as a group but even when attempting to book through travel agency, the price could not be confirmed. We had to go with the "conference price" which was considerably higher.

First, they wanted to put us in a double bed room when we requested a King. Had to watch my football game in the lobby because the channel did not work in the room. The "engineer" said there was nothing he could do. $* extra later and annoyed by drunks, I saw my game in the lobby. Food was WAY too expensive. I understand it will cost more because it is Chicago but * dollars for two pancakes is over the top. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel due to the prices. Goto Cosi at the corner of Grand & Rush. They also charge * dollars a day if you want to use the internet in your room. Oh, and the hot tub was broken. This was by far the worst and most "over the top" expensive Marriott I have ever been to. Stay at the Hilton Garden Inn just two blocks away!

The carpet in the room was soaked from the air conditioner. We mentioned this two times to the front desk with no avail. Geeze - I'm a Silver elite member and my bedding preference was wrong.

All employees friendly and helpful - went out of their way to make a great experience -- lobby beautiful, room comfortable, definitely met and exceeded my standards Ordered room service for breakfast using sign on door - delivered right on time Front desk helpful on both phone and in person Had a drink in the lounge -- nice experience Staff at Starbucks also very good Great location for touring city Thanks
