My wife and I have traveled the world over and we would normally go to an all inclusive island for our anniversary. This time I talked my wife into staying at this wonderful resort for our wedding anniversery on 8/19/10. From the time that we arrived at the front gate the customer service was second to none. The grounds were manicured and well kept. The staff was extremely pleasent.The Spa and Wellness Center is a must. Every need and/or desire was available to us without even asking. In addition, the live jazz at the Golf Club on Friday, and the Piano Bar on Saturday made our weekend complete. This Resort surpasses 5 stars, and is well worth the money. The Phoenician was the best resort I have ever stayed at. The staff and service was exceptional and never have to ask for anything because they typically know what you will need and have it ready. Plenty to do at the resort with multiple restaurants with great food, nice bars with good views, fun games such as croquet and lawn bowling, and plenty of swimming pools so can move around the resort. Definitely recommend room service as they turn your balcony into a very elegant setting. Resort is very close to downtown Scottsdale so easy ride to get to nice restaurant and night clubs or if want to go shopping. I took my girlfriend for her birthday and she loved it so definitely recommend to anyone looking to travel to celebrate some event. Definitely will score big points! My only complaints are that we did not stay longer and no coffee pot in the room.

I loved the hotel. Highlights include: The fitness club was 'crazy' (as in awesome), great equipment Cybex and Lifefitness, arranged wonderfully with personal tvs. The golf course was superb, I played the Desert course. The lobby bar and outdoor patio was very nice with entertainment at night. Here is the BUT on this property; -they had little annoying add-on charges; $20 for the fitness club, $26 daily to let your car sit overnight (this ain't Manhattan), $65 to rent a set of used golf clubs, $3.95 per hour to use the internet. These charges ruined an excellent rating. The staff was delightful - Clayton the bartender!

Highlights include: The fitness club was 'crazy' (as in awesome), great equipment Cybex and Lifefitness, arranged wonderfully with personal tvs. The golf course was superb, I played the Desert course.
