We loved the Magnolia Hotel. It is in an awesome location, you can get to anything downtown easily. If you are planning on staying in the downtown area then I wouldn't spend the money on a rental car because you are close to everything and parking is expensive. The breakfast was great. We only did the drink reception once but really enjoyed it too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us recommendations for dinner and our favorite dinner was at Panzano's. It is about a block from the hotel and was very nice. I highly recommend going there. Our room was very clean and the only complaint about the hotel was that the elevators are old and very slow. We will go back to stay at the Magnolia on our next trip.

Wife and I went downtown for the weekend, The staff was great, the room was large and very nice. Free Breakfast on the weekend - crowded but good. The parking downtown is not cheap at the hotels but you can self-park right next door for less than 1/2 but you give up the valet. Try it you'll like it. Also enjoyed the managers reception at the bar.

The entire hotel staff from the valet to the manager were great. The got us all the info we asked for, and knew the area well. They even helped us decide between the Pixies and John Foggerty. If you wanna see a beautiful city and stay in a luxurious hotel then the Magnolia is for you. I can't wait to see how the Dallas and Houston Magnolias measure up. If you want to actually shop shop, I suggest the Colorado Mills mall. 16th st. is beautiful and romantic, but more for eating and drinking than shopping! If it snows check out the capital it was pretty. Steam rooms in workout area are not Co-ed.
