The Willard InterContinental Washington was perfect for our family--two teenagers plus mom and dad. The location was well within walking distance of all the DC tourist sites and there was shopping and eating establishments close by as well. There were also a couple Metro stations close by as well. The hotel was very nice. My teenager thought it was great and that's something for a teen! We arrived a bit early for our checkin and the desk clerk said to feel free to leave our bags with the bellman and then go out and explore a bit. He would call as soon as the room was done. We returned back before he called, but he said he had upgraded our room since it wasn't ready when we initially arrived. We went from a nonsmoking, 2 queen room to a two bath suite--even more perfect with teens! The hotel had a fitness center which we used a couple mornings--clean, accessible, good equipment. My daughter and I splurged and did the afternoon tea at the hotel. This was fun and the food was good. We did not eat a meal in the hotel resturant, but did get coffee to go from the cafe. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and willing to help in any way they could. If you're in DC and want a place centrally located to everything, this would be it. I would highly recommend the Willard Intercontinental Washington! Absolutely Perfect!

From the moment I arrived, service at The Willard lived up to it's reputation. Room was nice ( just as depicted online), room service food was excellent. This trip was business but I would definitely come back with the family. Great location too.

The lobby was beautiful- fresh flowers and a lovely setting in which to relax. The staff was incredible. When I realized that my daughter and I would not arrive in DC until after the tickets for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing had distributed its daily tickets, I called the concierge. He informed me that they could put me in contact with a "line-stander" who (for a small fee) would stand in line for us. When we arrived on a Friday around noon, we checked in with the concierge and the tickets were there for a 3:45 tour! The day we checked out, the man at the front desk asked if there was anything else that he could do for us. I asked for the location of the business center so that I could print my boarding passes. He said, "Let me do that for you right here." In addition, the bellmen were great. We didn't have a flight until Sunday evening, so they were able to hold our bags for us while we toured the city some more. We didn't have many bags- but we did have one that contained a box of Georgetown Cupcakes. He gently placed them in a safe place so that they would be unblemished for our trip home. Getting a cab from there was a cinch. The bus lines also stop directly in front of the hotel. It is a short walk to the Metro. We walked to many sights from there easily.

We visited The Willard over the 4th of July weekend. We have two young daughters. We had a fantastic trip and look froward to returning in the future. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was quiet and roomy. The food in the restaurants was fantastic but a bit pricey. The location of the hotel can not be beat. You can walk to many national landmarks and easily use the Metro. We also enjoyed riding the Open Top Bus that stopped right outside the hotel. We recommend this hotel to all types of travelers. The experience was very memorable for the entire family.
